This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use Centifi and tells you about your privacy rights. We use your personal data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Interpretation and definitions
Interpretation
Words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined below. The same meaning applies whether they appear in singular or plural.
Definitions
- Account means a unique account created for you to access our Service or parts of our Service.
- Application refers to Centifi, the expense-tracking software provided by the Company.
- Company (“We”, “Us”, or “Our”) refers to Centifi.
- Country refers to: Turkey.
- Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a computer, cell phone, or tablet.
- Personal Data (or “Personal Information”) is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Service refers to the Application and the centifi.app website.
- Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes data on behalf of the Company.
- Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, generated by use of the Service or from Service infrastructure.
- You means the individual or legal entity accessing or using the Service.
Collecting and using your personal data
Types of data collected
Personal data
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide personally identifiable information, including:
- Email address
- First name and last name (for example when you sign in with Google or Apple)
- Username and account credentials you choose
- Expense, budget, category, list, and preference data you save and sync with your account
Usage data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. It may include your Device’s IP address, browser type, pages visited, visit times, unique device identifiers, mobile OS, and other diagnostic data.
Information collected while using the application
With your prior permission, we may collect:
- Pictures and other information from your Device’s camera and photo library (for example receipt photos)
- On Android, text from payment-related notifications you allow Centifi to read on your device to suggest expenses — we do not access your bank login or account credentials
You can enable or disable camera, photos, or notification access at any time in your Device settings.
Use of your personal data
The Company may use Personal Data to:
- Provide and maintain our Service, including monitoring usage
- Manage your Account and synced data across devices
- Perform contracts, including Centifi Pro subscriptions processed through Apple or Google
- Contact you by email for security, account, or service messages (for example password reset or optional expense reports you request)
- Manage your requests to us
- Improve our Service and security
We do not sell your Personal Data. We do not send unsolicited marketing email unless you opt in where such a feature is offered.
We may share Personal Data:
- With Service Providers (hosting, analytics where enabled, subscription management such as RevenueCat, sign-in providers)
- For business transfers, with notice where required
- With your consent, or when required by law
Retention of your personal data
We retain Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy, including legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of agreements. Account information is generally retained for the duration of your account relationship and up to 24 months after closure unless a longer period is required by law. Usage logs and support data may be retained up to 24 months for security and quality purposes. When retention expires, we delete or anonymize data; encrypted backups may persist for a limited period for disaster recovery.
Transfer of your personal data
Your information may be processed in Turkey and other locations where our Service Providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Delete your personal data
You may delete your Account from within the Centifi app (Settings → Delete account), which removes your profile and server-synced data associated with that account. You may also email us to request access, correction, or deletion. We may retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Disclosure of your personal data
We may disclose Personal Data in connection with business transactions, when required by law or public authorities, or to protect rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
Security of your personal data
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect Personal Data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Centifi Pro subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status. Payment card data is handled by the store, not stored by Centifi. See Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies for payment processing.
Sign-in providers
If you use Google or Apple to sign in, those providers process authentication according to their own policies. We receive information they share with us (such as email and name) to create or link your Centifi Account.
Marketing website (centifi.app)
This public website does not require an account. We may store your theme and language preference in your browser. Our cookie banner records whether you accept or decline optional Google Analytics (GA4); analytics loads only after you accept. Technical data (for example IP address) may appear in server logs. Fonts may load from Google Fonts. No advertising cookies are set by our theme toggle.
Children’s privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided Personal Data, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
Links to other websites
Our Service may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies when you leave our Service.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
